Optimizing Sales for the Upcoming Holiday Season

The days are getting shorter, the wind is getting colder, and the leaves on the trees have started to change. Summer is coming to an end and with it comes the 2016 Holiday Season.

According to the National Retail Federation, last years holiday sales account for a total of $626.1 billion in earnings. As those few colder months get close, it is important to begin thinking of strategies to optimize sales for this season. Our clients are constantly thinking of innovative ways to get more people in their doorways. Below are our four favorite hints.

Food & Free Samples

If you’re among the many clients of ours which sells great food that you may think about putting out free sample dishes to your brand new inventory. You may even put out free sample mix plates like a specialty cheese with a bread for double the pleasure (and double to prospective sales.)

Come into warm up

This tip is in exactly the exact same vein as free food, except you do not need to market food to provide it. During brisk autumn nights, it is wonderful to heat up with a cup of apple cider, tea, or a nice hot chocolate. Offering something to heat up the clients will bring them at the door and they will be more likely to check around while they are sipping on the free Cup o’ Joe.

It can be because I struggle to wrap presents, but this is one of my favourite deals throughout the holiday season. By having a deal of”Spend a certain amount and get it wrapped for free,” customers will probably try to get all their holiday shopping done there. It is a win/win for everybody involved! The customer gets all their present shopping done and wrapped so that they do not need to consider it, and you have gained a new client!

Promotions, Coupons, and Rewards Points

Desire a refresher for generating promotions? Click here. Promotions can be put up for a particular time frame, so that you can build them beforehand so that you don’t need to think about the day of. By linking a promotion into a coupon, the coupon can print out notifying the consumer that a sale is coming up soon so that they’re more likely to revisit.
